Bijou's Simple Elegance CGC HCT
DOB: November 6, 2003
So January 2, 2004 I go to a friend's house to attend a puppy evaluation party for a litter bred by Lisa Hart of Bijou Aussies. I have no intention of getting a puppy. After all, Vladi just turned a year old. But I had a few glasses of wine, fell in love with a cute fuzzy face, and came home with Ellie.
Ellie was the smallest in the litter at 8 weeks and now she is still a little girlie girl at 18" and 32 lbs. People mistake her for a much younger woman, which makes her happy, I'm sure. I started training her to show when she was 12 weeks old, which was kind of a mistake because, when she was in a puppy class called puppourri where pups get a taste of obedience, rally, agility and tracking, she would not sit in the baby gated ring. Oops. But she loved showing and could stack herself like a champ. She got nice placements a few times, but she never got any points. I had her spayed at 2.5 years and now she shows in the ASCA altered conformation ring.
Ellie enjoys herding, but we don't get to lessons too often. I would like to try her on ducks as well as further her training on sheep. Ellie is a top-notch sofa snuggler, but nobody hands out awards for that!
