I just love this photo from 12-20-09. Suzie was trying to catch a powdery snowball and it wasn't quite firm enough.

Suzie looks great even when she's goofing off and having more fun than success in agility. She did, however, finish her herding Pre-trial Tested title the day before her 10th birthday!

Suzie had been seriously stressed by the heat this summer, so I took her to Sandy Stout, a groomer and Aussie breeder. who trimmed Suzie's massive coat down to about an inch all over. We didn't want her shaved, because the coat does insulate from heat and sun damage, but too much coat was keeping her too hot. This is Suzie's summer 'do the day I brought her home. She looked soooo cute and was soooo happy and comfortable. Her energy level went way up (good thing--we had some agility trials planned!).

The Brandywine Valley Australian Shepherd Club had a great weekend of Agility May 3-4, 2008. Suzie finished her Regular Veteran-Novice (RV-N) title to add to her others. We had a professional photographer, so people were picking out their favorite photos from the photographer's computer screen. This was my fave!

Hamburg, PA 2006 Rescue Expo fundraiser for the Hillside SPCA in Pottsville. People kept trying to adopt Suzie and Ellie... They are so cute, who wouldn't want to! These days I take Vladi to the fundraisers since he is an ARPH dog.

After getting going in herding, we decided to try agility. Suzie is a natural in that, too. Too bad about her handler, though. It took over a year to finish her novice AKC titles at age 5, and just last year, at age 9 she finally earned her ASCA novice veteran regular and jumpers title. She has one leg of her novice veteran gamblers, but I don't know when we will finish.

Suzie looked like she was having fun, but she was stressed and I was scared of those big ol' thangs! We only tried one other time, and that was even scarier--the cattle were Texas Longhorns!! Yikes!

Suzie finished her STDs (started sheep title in ASCA) with a first place qualifying run! She was 3-way tied on score, and beat two border collies with the fastest time.

Suzie has always had this serious cowlick coming off the top of her head from the top of her neck. This was shortly after we brought her home at 13 weeks. At 8 she is still my Mohawk Suzie.
