Vladi

Count Vladimir Von ARPH5912 HCT

DOB: December 18, 2002

Vladi was rescued from a kennel shut-down when he was six weeks old. He was near death from cold and starvation. His ARPH foster mom got him back to health with good food and good vet care.

Kevin wanted an agility dog that he could train and trial himself as I did with Suzie. So I found a couple of pups I thought might do and emailed the rsecue representative for the pups. She suggested that there was a really good agility prospect pup that might suit us better. We arranged adoption and air transportation from St Louis to Philly, and when he arrived... well, it was obvious at first glance that he wasn't going to be doing agility with his crooked spine, bowed front legs, cow hocks, straight stifles and narrow rear. But what a sweet boy he was. So he stayed.

Vladi is extremely smart and loves to take classes in agility and loves training on sheep. He earned his AHBA Herding Capability Test at 11 months, but rarely gets to work sheep these days.  At 15 months old, Vladi was diagnosed with severe hip dysplasia, which limits the amount of running and jumping he can do.
